In the arms of the ocean.

Once again it has been much too long since I have posted. It is now the 1st of December. If I hadn't been keeping track of the date and someone asked me what month it was I would say it still felt like September, despite the drastic change in weather. Time has just gone by SO fast. Which is odd to think because there have been many days that have felt so long and boring. But this has been a nice little reminder to cherish every day, because they seem to become shorter and shorter.

Things have been wonderful lately. I love Vancouver, I love my job and I love the people in my life. Moving out has really allowed me to love my home town. I get so excited to go home, see my friends, family and animals. You really cherish those things that once were just so normal. It's nice, that's the way it should be.

Not to mention I get to see my boyfriend in 17 days. It's been a long time coming for me to be able to say that. I actually can't wait. I get butterflies whenever I think about it. It is going to be quite the Christmas.

I didn't think my passion and desire to succeed in modeling could be any stronger than it had been before I moved but coming here has only made me want it more, any obstacle that comes at me I'm willing to tackle head on. For the first time in my life I have found something I feel that I am good at and can actually take off with. I have no intentions of letting it slip between my fingers. I'm running.
It feels good.

Also, the photo from above is a snap from a shoot I did for Aritzia today, it was a lovely day of work that I hope to do again soon.

And lastly I leave you with quote I read today that I hope inspires you as it did to me.

"A beautiful life does not just happen, it is built daily by prayer, humilty, sacrifice and love. may that beautiful life be yours
always."

Namaste

I finally started hot yoga up again. I found a studio called "Yogapod" that's only a 10 minute walk from my apartment. It's an amazing studio and extremely popular which says a lot about it's instructors and classes. Today was day 2 of my 15 day "trial". It was extremely difficult but incredibly rewarding. I enjoy that each class is a little different here. So I don't know what to expect which allows it to go by a little faster. The feeling you have after sweeting profusely for 90 minutes is indescribable. You feel like you could take on the world (after you have showered of course..) It was amazing, today I was feeling quite bored and a little down, but after class I felt wonderful, I think that's why I enjoy it so much. You struggle all class, you sweat, you feel sick, you want to give up. But the minute it's over you feel the benefits immediately. You feel rejuvenated and refreshed, your body beams with fresh flowing blood. Not to mention the detox from the sweat, the cleansing of your organs and the benefits for your skin, body, mind and even weight. Yoga is something I plan on practicing for the rest of my life.
Namaste.

ps. This photo is what I often picture while meditating, I love the calm cool and serene values of it. You can almost taste the fresh air. I could sit in that spot for hours, if only I knew where it was..

I've heard stranger things.

If they look twice, then you have done a good job. A question is always good, you got them thinking.

Giving thanks.

I knew coming home for the first time since moving out was going to be an experience. One, to be honest, I feared. It was a weekend full of emotions; Laughter, tears, frustration and bliss. Within three days I had many reunions, many hugs, home videos, home cooked meals and as always a little shopping. Life is so much more at ease here. This is home. But easy isn't always right. Comfort isn't always where you are supposed to be. I'm determined to show that little girl in the home movies we watched, she can achieve her dreams. I'm determined to make leaving all of this worth it. I'm determined to get the one thing I've wanted my entire life. Success.

Obstacles are there to challenge you, not stop you.

Change is a wonderful thing. We shall not fear it, but welcome it with open arms.
When I look back at the past and laugh about the things I did, I realize that it is thanks to change that I am at the place I am now.
My life has changed, it was time the blog did too.
